Canadian Thanksgiving Chestnut & Pumpkin Shredded Turkey Stuffing

This Thanksgiving Eve in Toronto, the Geedel Vegetable Processor creates holiday stuffing in 30 minutes—shredding pumpkin and chestnuts evenly, drying celery and onion for lightness, and blending herbed butter sauce. Baked to perfection, it fills your home with the warm aroma of the season.

Ingredients (Serves 6)  

200g pumpkin (peeled)  

100g cooked chestnuts (peeled and chopped)  

150g whole wheat croutons (toasted until crisp)  

2 celery stalks (leaves removed)  

½ onion  

1 crisp-sweet apple (peeled and cored)  

30g butter  

100ml chicken broth  

1 tsp dried sage  

½ tsp dried thyme  

¼ tsp salt  

A pinch of black pepper  

2 tsp chopped parsley (for garnish)  

Instructions  

1. Shred the Veggies & Apple: Even & Quick  

Cut the pumpkin, celery, onion, and apple into 3cm chunks. Load them into the Geedel Vegetable Processor and rotate five times. The pumpkin becomes soft yellow strands, the celery pale green shreds, the onion tender slices, and the apple sweet crisp strips—uniform enough to blend evenly with croutons and chestnuts, saving 15 minutes versus hand-chopping.

2. Dry the Celery & Onion: Keep the Stuffing Light  

Transfer the celery and onion shreds to the Geedel Salad Spinner and spin for 15 seconds. Removing excess moisture prevents sogginess, helping the croutons stay crisp and the stuffing fluffy—not sticky or dense.

3. Sauté & Mix: Infuse with Holiday Flavor  

Melt butter in a pan. Add the shredded veggies and apple and sauté for 5 minutes until softened and fragrant. Stir in chestnuts, sage, and thyme, cooking for another minute.
