Classic American Chicken Noodle Soup
When the weather turns cool or you're feeling under the weather, a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup is the best remedy—warm, comforting, and nourishing from the inside out. The clear, flavorful broth is infused with the essence of chicken and vegetables. Your Geedel hand vegetable chopper quickly prepares the "holy trinity" of soup vegetables (onion, carrot, celery) and easily shreds cooked chicken, making the process of this comforting soup both fast and efficient.
Ingredients:
1 chicken carcass or 2 bone-in chicken thighs
2 carrots
2 celery stalks
1 onion
3 garlic cloves
8 cups water or chicken broth
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 cups dry egg noodles
Salt and pepper
Fresh parsley
Instructions:
1. Prepare the standard vegetable dice:
Cut the carrots, celery, and onion into large chunks. Install the cross-shaped chopping blade in your Geedel manual food chopper.
Add the vegetable chunks and garlic, close the lid tightly, and turn the handle continuously until everything is cut into neat, uniform small dice.

2. Simmer the broth:
In a large soup pot, combine the chicken carcass with water (or broth) and bring to a simmer, skimming off any foam. Add the diced vegetables, bay leaves, and thyme.
Simmer gently for about 1 hour. Remove the chicken, shred the meat, and return it to the pot. Discard the bones and bay leaves.
3. Prepare the chicken and cook the noodles:
If you prefer finer-textured chicken, place some of the shredded meat back into the food chopper container (using the chopping blade) and pulse a few times into small bits before returning it to the soup.
Add the dry noodles to the soup and cook according to package instructions.
4. Season and garnish:
Season generously with salt and black pepper. Quickly chop the parsley using the manual food chopper and sprinkle over the hot soup before serving.
Summary:
The soul of this soup lies in its clear broth and perfectly textured ingredients. The uniform vegetable dice provided by the Geedel manual vegetable chopper ensures even cooking, and its convenience in processing cooked meat allows you to easily adjust the texture of the chicken to your liking—creating a comforting, homemade flavor that’s uniquely yours.
